So Here Are My Answers

So, it totally wouldn't be fair to through these insightful and well thought out questions, and not post my own answers. And, I know that you've been waiting on the edge of your seats for them!

Favorite song (of all time, or at the moment): Right now, "Roll with Me" by Montgomery Gentry. Speaks to me!

Favorite vacation: There have been so many I've enjoyed. When I was younger, it was Disney World with my family and our trip to Jackson Hole when I was 16. As an adult, I have several. But, there are two in particular. One was the road trip Aaron and I took to Reno, where he proposed to me on Lake Tahoe. The second was our honeymoon. Wonderful!

View you enjoy the most: From the parking lot at Oceanside. Memories abound there.

Who is God to you: Prince of Peace, Joy, Hope, Comforter and Redeemer, Father.

Your dream pet: I already have two of them. The lovely Sidney and unique Champ (see pic). In addition to those beauties, I would love a pot bellied pig.

What makes you feel valued: Kind words, compassion, thoughtfulness, recognition, hugs!

Regrets: I would love to say I don't believe in them. I believe in the theory that you shouldn't have them. But, I have plenty. Mostly, it was words unspoken to my Dad.

Tell Me More

So, after a long and arduous day of having to think really hard for work (I know...gasp!), I thought I'd just put out a few questions to all (5) of you who may look at this post. Things that may be important some day, should I be randomly polled on my friends and family! Amuse me and play along!

Blog-o Baby

What's up peeps?? So, due to the insistent urging of a few certain somebodies (ahem, Shauna), I have resurrected my blog. I'm old school, baby! I've been doing this forever! Well, not forever per se, seeing as I haven't posted in three years. But, I'm back and I'm sassy. What in the heck am I going to write about? Hmm...we'll see. But, I will try, try, try to post at least one thing a day (weekday!). For today, I will muse about onions and orchids. This is something Aaron taught me long ago. It's kinda the good and bad of the day. SO, my orchid would be my super-productiveness at work today. Onion, easily, getting up at the crack of dawn (not even dawn, it was still pitch black), anyway I digress. I had to get up stinkin' early to be at work for a 7am safety meeting. Good Lord. This was after I went to bed late, because I got the urge to do my Pilates. Why? Oh why do I do this to myself? Lack of sleep, and my abdominal muscles reminding me that they indeed still do exist, even if under a layer of ummm...insulation. OK, I've lost track of what I'm writing about, must be the lack of sleep. Geez. By the way, that beautiful baby you see here is my little doll- a new addition since I last blogged. I'd like to think that giving birth to her has increased my ability to write genius posts. We'll see about that.

Have a Rockin' Eve

Hi y'all!

I just wanted to wish each of you an awesome New Year's Eve! Aaron and I will be at my Mom's house for a rousing game (or 12) of Bunko, partnered with yummy finger foods. Don't laugh! Bunko is a great way to pass the time until midnight! This year I shall win grand prize! Or, at least one game!! Anyway, I hope that whatever you do is filled with fun! May 2006 bring each of you so much joy, happiness and blessings!

Drop a line if you get a chance, and let me know what your plans are :-)

A long time coming...

Oh man- what kind of crazy slacker am I???? So, I am a blogging loser. But, with the New Year and everything, I will try to be so much better. I haven't been on here since May. That is like insane! It would be pages and pages if I tried to reminisce on everything that has been going on since then. I will say that I have now been married to my best friend for over 4 months. I am lucky to be with such a great person! We had a beautiful wedding and marvelous honeymoon. I only wish it wouldn't have gone by so quickly! Beyond that, Aaron and I have been busy with work and all that kind of stuff. Aaron has made leaps and bounds-- he graduated from college a little over a week ago! I am so proud of him! He will now work towards completing his additional credits to be able to sit for the CPA. I know that he will do great! Now that the New Year is coming, we are entering the crazy time of (hopefully) buying a home. We are ready to move in to a larger home closer to our family on the west side of the metro area. I am really hoping that despite the expensive home prices, we are able to find something good for us in our price range. I will let y'all know! Anyway, thanks to any one who is reading this!

Hello Again!

Once again, long time... no blog! So, it is already the middle of May, and things are crazy. Between weddings, parties, road trips, planning my own wedding, etc- it has been pretty chaotic. Other than that, I am up to my usual- watching reality shows, gardening, playing with my pups, etc. Hope everyone is good, and I will write more SOON.

Happy Birthday, Baby!

Yes, the rains have left us, just in time for my honey's birthday! Yeah! His birthday is on Sunday, so I am making this official birthday weekend for him. The weather is beautiful, and we may even have a good storm. Yippee! Along with the good weather comes bike rides, saturday markets and yard work (ugh!). But, I am ready for spring and getting out of the house a little more. Now, I have no excuse to get my buns moving and try to continue the weight loss before the wedding. Goody! Take care, y'all!

Is it Friday yet?

It is only Tuesday, yet I am wishing for Friday. It is one of those weeks where the days seem extraordinarily loooonnnggg. Oh well.

This week is good for the fact that it ends on April 15th, which is tax day, which to most people is a pain. In our house, it is good, because Aaron is an accountant, and READY to be done with taxes. His work is hosting a catered party (with open bar!) on Friday night. Should be a fun time to relax and leave taxes behind. A whole season of preparing taxes. Ugh! I can't even handle doing my own :-)

Well, because I can't think of much more to say right now, over and out...

Long time, No blog

Hi all-

Still here, just been sooo busy with work and all that good stuff. We've been up to our eyeballs in honeymoon planning. Looks now like we'll be taking a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. Should be fun! Just trying to figure out which would be the best cruiseline for us, and what dates will work with our schedule. Have any of you ever taken a cruise? If so, I want details! Anyway, other than that, I am getting prepared for bridal showers (for my brother's fiance), weddings (my cousins), wedding receptions (my brothers), birthdays (my best friend's turning 40, my mom is turning 50)- enough to keep us all busy and broke!

This weekend should be quite chaotic around our household, as we are dog-sitting my mom's two dogs, in addition to our two. So, we'll have two little ones (Champ, our 25 pound baby boxer looking mutt. Eddie, my mom's 35-pound lhasa alpsa grouchy mix), and two big ones (Toshi, my mom's Boxer pup, and Sidney, our lab and shepard mix). Joy for all! Let' s just say that I'll be doing some puppy proofing tonight!

Garden Oasis

Well, it is time to start our planting, gardening, landscaping, etc. I can't say that I totally love all of the labor that goes into it, but I LOVE the end product. This past weekend, we were busy putting color into the yard. We got great flowerboxes to go underneath the windows, filled whiskey barrels with flowers, got a big umbrella for our new table, etc. I even got some fun little glass tea light lantern things and tiki lights for outside. I was having so much fun getting "neat stuff" that Aaron promptly put the kabob on my shopping spree- saying things were getting a little too fun for me. Darn. But at least it's looking cool. It's going to be great to sit outside with the grill, and maybe even a propane heater (please honey!). So, that's what my time has been consumed with-- getting the outside to look nice, and doing spring cleaning inside (ugh!). Aside from all of that, my cousin is getting married on Thursday, St. Patty's Day! Should be fun, with Guiness abounding. It's always great to see all of the family and friends (great to see most of them anyway). But, that's about it. Write more soon.

The sun is shining...

It is so frieking nice here- the weather has been in the 70's here. In March, in Oregon. Crazy! So, other than shooting envious looks at people who get to be outside more than I, I am keeping busy with work and stuff. Also, Aaron and I decided to go to Cozumel and Playa del Carmen for our honeymoon. I am so excited! Except for the fact that I have to fly to get there. I hate that. Oh well, as my mother told me, get over it. So, just planning that and wedding stuff, and getting ready for 3 other weddings and 2 big parties over the next 4 months. Should be fun!

Going to the Beach...

And I'm gonna get relaxed.... (OK, I'm a real geek. I am combining the title of this blog w/ the first sentence in a melody reminiscent of "Going to the Chapel, and I'm gonna get Married..."). Yes, I am a fruit-loop, I know. Anyway, as I was saying, Aaron, the pups and I are going to the beach for the weekend. Should be nice! The weather is supossed to cooperate, so I am looking forward to a little time out of town. Yah! Other than that, I have just been busy with work, and also with trying to organize and decorate the spare bedroom. I have decided to go with a "Lodgey" theme (i.e. moose, bear, pine trees, etc.). The problem is A) I have to spend money to get the decorations that I really want and B) Not that many people come to stay with us, so is it worth putting a futon in there? I don't know. Well, at least it'll be clean, and not such of a catch-all. Plus, I am doing the majority of the decor in a way that it will be moveable when we get a different place. Will write more next week... until then... have a good one!

I'd rather be...

At the beach, playing with my pups, spending time with Aaron- basically doing anything FUN. It's nice out, and here I am chained to my cubicle. Oh well, my pocketbook may be a might upset if I protested work for too long. Anyway, just been busy here with work, and finally starting to look at wedding "stuff." After not being able to find the right invitations, and getting into an argument with a mean lady at the invitation shop (evidently, I know nothing about invitation etiquette), I have decided to make our invitations. With the help of some gifted friends who happen to be graphic designers, that is. Hopefully they will look good. We'll see :-) Also starting to look at flowers, honeymoon details, etc. Not even thinking about a dress until June, when hopefully my weight watchers efforts will be benefiting me. So, enough about that. Not a lot else exciting going on, is anything happening with anybody else???

Wind- Thou Art Frigid!

Yes, that's right. It is beautiful, sunny and freezing! The wind is ripping through the valley today and it is downright frigid. Why I wore a dress today is beyond me! Brrr! Anyway, keeping busy with work, which is always exciting and thrilling :-) Beyond that, I am looking forward to my step-grandparents visiting from Carson City, NV this weekend, going to the rodeo, etc. Anything exciting going on with anybody?? You know- you can now post comments to me without setting up a blogger account. So- write me back! Anyhow- I think I will get a haircut after work. My curls are rebelling- and my "bangs" are crazy! Hence them being held back by a bobby pin today. Yes, I figured that the 3 year old hair-do is pretty snazzy :-)

Valentine, Oh Valentine...

Greetings all of my cupids-

In love or not... let me just say that I wont knock a day meant to enjoy flowers, chocolate or fancy dinners. Not that I am necessary partaking in any of them, but still, it's cool to know that there is a day dedicated to doing just that. If you are not in the "lovey-dovey" spirit, buy them for yourself!!

OK, enough about that. Things here have been hectic, of course. Last week my open house was finished. Yeah! Glad that's done- what a big event to put together. Other than that, just busy with work stuff, home stuff, dog stuff, etc. Ya know! So, what's exciting and new with all of you?? Anybody, anybody????

Two in One Week...

Yes, I may be getting back on track again. But don't hold your breath :-) So, Friday is here, and this weekend is bound to go by as quickly (if not quicker) than the week. Ahh..well. So, we are going with a friend to spend tomorrow night at the coast. Even better- our hotel is one mile from the casino. Yippee. Any of you who know me, know that I love the casino. Penny slots, nickel slots, it's all great by me. Just a form of entertainment, but it's cool all the same. So, am I the lone gambler? Who else likes to gamble, and if so, what do you play and are you a big risk taker???

Yippee Skippee

Yes, I have totally neglected my poor blog. Not that I have a huge following. But still. So, not a lot exciting here. I have been bogged down with crazy work stuff. I am planning a huge open house event, and it is insane. Yikes! It's like normal work is busy enough, but with this on top of it, it is insane. Oh well. Besides that, just enjoying the unseasonably warm weather outside. Wow- from freezing rain to record highs. It feels like spring out. So, as you can probably tell, my subject matter is lacking today. I could tell you mundane things like it's time to wax my eyebrows, color my roots, have my nails filled, etc. I am starting to feel like a hoochy-mama. So, anyone else out there in need of some "grooming?" If so, I want details!

From one dark rooted chick to another...

Why I want to win the Lottery...

Well, who wouldn't?? I have been thinking upon all of the things that I would do if I won big-time in the lotto. Ahh...travel, beach house, lots of animals, pay off my bills and my families bills. It would be fab-tabulous. So, I am wondering what cool thing each of you would do should you hit the jackpot and win millions???

Me Hairs Are Lighter...

In more ways than one. First, Aaron gave me a nice color job. After a minor upset during the first try (followed by a major crying jag), the second time turned out quite nice. I have now ridded my head of dark and unsightly roots, replaced by a beautiful blonde. I believe I have found myself a new and much more reasonably priced hair dresser :-) Second, I got a little haircut yesterday. Ah, my layers are refreshed, and the curls are much happier. My hair feels so much lighter and fluffier. Anyway, my apologies for a long overdue blog. I have been busy with holiday hubub, and haven't had much time to write. However, I am definitely back into my normal writing habits. So, with New Year's coming up this week, I want to know not what your "resolutions" are, but what are you hoping to reasonably accomplish in the coming year? Might it be more couch time watching movies, or perhaps less trips to the gym (snicker, snicker)?? Or, if you're super-industrious, maybe you're looking to have a grandiose raise, a big promotion, an engament to a sweetheart. Whatever it is, let me know!

Until tomorrow (or the day after)......

Christmas Parties= Drunk Ass Co-Workers

Yes, I have written again. I am guilty of being negligent for a whole week! Sorry! So, as you can assume from the title of this... Christmas parties are upon us. The craziest usually being the work party. Yikes! All of the people that you see all week long put together in one room with the added bonus of alcohol. Scarry mix! Tomorrow night I have my Christmas party for work, and later in the evening, one for family and friends. I am anticipating interesting things... all of which I will report back here later on. For my personal party, we are doing a white elephant gift exchange. For those of you who do not know what that is, it basically involves bring the cheesiest present you can find, and then you pull numbers to do an exchange. These presents are those rivaled at the dingiest of thrift stores, and pretty dang funny. That way, no one spends a lot of money, and no ones feelings get hurt when people laugh at their presents. Crazy! Anyway, share with me your Christmas Party experiences... I look forward to hearing them!

Later!
